Theresa's two decades of experience span the breadth of landscape architecture; from backyard design/build gardens to multi-acre municipal parks; from conceptual brainstorming exercises to construction administration. Dedication to a project's success and pursuit of our client's goals are qualities she brings to every job - made achievable by clear communication, accessibility, and an organized and thoughtful approach to each unique project.

When she's not at work, you can find her hiking and biking the local trails, wading at the Confluence, sketching, or puttering around the veggie garden with her family.

Brian Pantiga

Over the course of his career, Brian has contributed to a wide range of projects including those in the public sector, residential sub-division planning, school and playground modernizations, boulevard master planning, park planning, airport modernization and waterfront renovations. He works closely with clients, tailoring the design specifically to their needs while meeting the requirements of the local municipalities to produce both functional and aesthetic projects. 

Brian is a dedicated road cyclist and soccer enthusiast. You can find him at the Republic game with his family, riding the American River Parkway, or shredding the slopes on his snowboard.

With decades of experience in multi-disciplinary collaboration, design development, and creative problem solving, Jeff brings a vast well of knowledge to Yamasaki Landscape Architecture.  He has gained fundamental "hands-on" experience through both in landscape architecture design and construction. His experience has fostered an acute attention to detail and a deep understanding of all phases of a project from conceptual design through construction. 

When Jeff's not busy with work and community projects, he enjoys camping and boating with his family. Look for him at the local early-morning masters swim, one of our local golf courses, or out on the trail with his dog.

Eric brings 20+ years of design and coordination in multi-disciplinary projects. Eric is passionate about creating functional and inspiring spaces that stand the test of time. He has extensive field experience and a pragmatic approach to problem solving while maintaining design integrity.

Eric is an artist in his spare time working with reclaimed steel and kiln formed glass. He also enjoys fly fishing, hiking, gardening, and woodworking.

Landscape Designer

Aleana is a recent graduate of UC Davis with an interest in designing spaces that positively impact those who experience it. She is looking forward to fostering her knowledge of landscape design, native horticulture, and multi-disciplinary collaboration across all phases of each project.

Aleana spends her free time nurturing her many passions of photography, music, and anything within the arts. She also enjoys travelling, spending quality time with her family and friends, and attending concerts of her favorite artists.

About Yamasaki Landscape Architecture

Yamasaki Landscape Architecture is a landscape architecture consulting firm that has been serving clients throughout California for more than 50 years. Rooted in downtown Auburn, California, our five-person team provides thoughtful, high-quality planning and landscape architecture services for public agencies, schools, parks, residential communities, and commercial developments.

As a small team of 5 employees, we each play an important role in our success. We value accountability, kindness, and authenticity. We take pride in building lasting relationships with our clients and with one another, creating an environment where people are supported, trusted, and encouraged to grow.

Position Summary

The office administrator maintains an organized, welcoming, and productive workplace while supporting project teams and leadership with a wide variety of operational and administrative tasks. This position is part-time, likely ranging from 8 to 12 hours per week. This could be one full day per week or smaller shifts throughout the week, depending on your availability. Hourly wage range: $20 - $25 per hour, depending on experience.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Contribute to office operations such as managing supplies, refreshing our office space, and maintaining reference libraries.

  • Coordinate Team Enrichment events and hospitality by planning and managing our office activities.

  • Offer administrative support such as mailing correspondence, setting up new projects, and standardizing our document templates.

  • Maintain company software subscriptions, licensure renewals, and annual records updates.

  • Maintain the firm's records by digitizing closed project files and organizing archives.

  • Assist with social media content, website updates, marketing materials, and branded materials.

Because we are a small and collaborative firm, this role offers the opportunity to contribute beyond traditional office management responsibilities. As you become more familiar with the firm and/or bring previous experience to the role, additional responsibilities such as marketing, business development, and client relations may be added to the position.
